The value of perks using coffee as a measure

The value of perks using coffee as a measure
Whilst many employees, both current and prospective, prefer benefits over perks, I put to you that the provision of specialty coffee in the office is both a benefit and a perk.
I don't purport that by offering specialty coffee this will single-handedly make one employer more attractive than another but it does make an employee’s actual take home pay go a little further. Assuming the average office worker purchases 2 cups of coffee a day, and is in the office 3 days a week, and the average cost of a milk-based specialty coffee is about $4.50, that is a staggering $1,296 per annum. Replacing these purchases with office specialty coffee is clearly a benefit. Consuming specialty coffee in the office break out room, collaborating and chewing the fat with fellow team members definitely a perk.

It's a no brainer - buy coffee for your employees and let them use the $1,296 on their next holiday to Bali!
